Do I need to signal left if the markings point left anyway?
Is there still a choice? What I mean by that is - could you still move into a different lane and go in another direction?
If the answer is yes - put your signal on. Leave other road users in no doubt which direction you are taking.
If there isn't choice of taking a different lane - it's not as necessary. However, it doesn't hurt anyone if you put your signal on anyway.
